Ethel

The room Ethel is named after Ethel Brink – denoting the E in Hisega. Ethel, a student at the University of South Dakota was also a resident of Pierre. Traveling with the group led by Doane Robinson, she was an original founder of Hisega.

Ethel has a queen bed and two windows on the southwest corner of the building. In addition to direct access to the upper deck there is ample seating. Relax both inside and out!  Feel free to leave the door open, hook the screen and take an afternoon nap.

Hisega Lodge is provides unique lodging in the Black Hills.  The Lodge was built in 1908, notably one of the oldest lodges in the Black Hills.  Relax and enjoy it’s tastefully updated charm.

Ethel is available for $129.  Rates include a fresh gourmet breakfast and our tax is 6%. Ask about special rates for holidays as well as special events.

All rooms have private baths, private entrances, and free secure wi-fi.

Room 5 is named after the E in Hisega, Ethel Brink, who was a student at the University of South Dakota when a group of young folks from Pierre, led by Doane Robinson, founded Hisega.

This room has a queen bed and two windows overlooking the creek on the southwest corner of the building. This room also has direct access to the porch, so feel free to leave the door open, hook the screen and take an afternoon nap.

Ethel is available in the winter. The room is warm and cozy, with a heated mattress.

Ethel is available for $129 on weekdays and $139 on weekends. Rates include a fresh gourmet breakfast and our tax is 6%. Ask about special rates for holidays, or mystery game night.
